Quick FAQs

What’s the difference between CSE and CPSE?

CPSE supports preschool-aged children (typically ages 3–5). CSE supports school-aged students (typically ages 5–21). The meeting structure is similar, but eligibility categories and services can differ.

Can you review my IEP and tell me what’s missing?

Yes. We review your IEP and supporting documents to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities, especially around present levels, measurable goals, services, accommodations, and progress monitoring.

Do you attend meetings?

Yes. This is a common request. We coordinate with your school district so we’re included appropriately, and we request key documentation ahead of time so the meeting is productive.

What if the school says they “don’t do” a support I’m requesting?

We help you clarify the underlying need, strengthen documentation, and frame requests in a way that ties supports to educational impact so the team can problem-solve solutions that fit within the process.

How quickly can we start if the meeting is soon?

If your meeting is coming up quickly, tell us your date and we’ll prioritize preparation so you feel ready and organized.

How do we decide whether to request an FBA?

We look at the educational impact, what supports have already been tried, and whether current data is enough to guide next steps. If behavior is interfering with learning or participation, an FBA may be appropriate.
